Marmalade French Toast

When only something indulgent will do, this marmalade French toast is the perfect weekend pick-me-up. Golden and caramelised on the outside, soft and pillowy in the middle, with a sweet, citrusy glaze that makes every bite unforgettable. A deliciously sticky way to start your day.

Ingredients

3 tbsp La Vieja Fábrica Thick Cut Marmalade, reserve 2 tsp for garnish

4 slices of brioche

2 eggs

Creme fraiche

Method

1.

Whisk two eggs in a shallow dish.

2.

Spread 1 tsp of La Vieja Fábrica marmalade on each slice of brioche & dip into the egg mix ensuring the whole slice is covered.

3.

Put a drop of oil in a pan on a medium heat & add the brioche keeping a close eye on it so it doesn’t burn. Once it’s golden, carefully flip the slices to cook the other side.

4.

Serve with a dollop of cream fraiche on each & a tsp of La Vieja Fábrica marmalade.
